The day is Saturday 27th March 2010; I get an email; I smile with amazement!
That’s exactly how it happened! So what are we talking about?

I received an Email from Oscar Ramos Orozc who is the Chief Curator at Behance. The email reads;

Hello Sandeep,

I just wanted to notify you that one of your projects was just featured on industrialdesignserved.com, one of Behance’s “Served” sites that we developed to further showcase the best projects in the Behance Network, within specific industries.

Our editorial team features a small number of projects every day. With many thousands of options, we only pick a few that promote new thinking in the industry.

Congrats, and great to have you involved in the Behance Network. If you ever have any feedback/suggestions for us, feel free to contact me.

To think, me of all people, get their work showcased because someone thought I promoted new thinking in the industry! I am just excited that I was noticed and hopefully more of my work will be published or showcased again!

So if you would like to see my work that was picked then pop over to the industrialdesignserved.com site and my work should be on the 1st page

Remember people; Don’t give up! Keep positive, and always have your chin up as rewards will come your way!

Well hello again from me your host Chocolate Disaster!

Today’s post is about the progression on the Domo-Kun 3D model I have been working on! The Hair and Fur modifier can be very tedious if you haven’t worked with it before.

Here are some examples of progression so far! [Please click on individual pictures to see full image size]

Domo-Kun 1
Domo-Kun 2
Domo-Kun 3
Domo-Kun 4
Domo-Kun 5

All Modelled in 3DS MAX 9, Rendered using the Default Scanline Renderer and Light Tracer Ligthing; with default settings and all Texture found within 3ds Max Library.

At the moment I am happy with Hair and Fur; just the colour needs to be tweaked slightly to get that desired overall look! I am not happy with the hand; at the moment it looks like to rounded so need to flatten it out to get that soft touch!

Keep posted and all items will be added to the gallery this week or the beginning of next week!
